Software Engineer - Part-Time

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance digital applications for government projects.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Designers and Engineers to deliver user-focused solutions.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and secure technical solutions.
• Design system architecture and integrate applications with external systems.
• Develop clean, reliable and maintainable code while following software engineering best practices.
• Review code, troubleshoot technical issues, and support application enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects using Agile (Scrum/Kanban) methodologies.
• Monitor production systems, resolve incidents, and improve system reliability.
• Contribute ideas to improve engineering practices, technologies, and development processes.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in software development, system design, and application integration.
• Hands-on experience with one or more programming languages/frameworks such as Go, .NET, TypeScript, Angular or ReactJS.
• Experience with cloud technologies and modern software development practices (CI/CD, DevOps, Agile).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD, SHIP-HATS, AWS, Terraform, Docker, APEX or Cloud File Transfer (CFT) is an added advantage.
• Passion for building digital solutions that improve public services.
