Software Engineer( Splunk, SQL, Linux, Grafana, Prometheous, RCA, L2/L3 Support) - Part-Time

Responsibilities

• Lead Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) initiatives to ensure the stability, availability, and performance of mission-critical production environments.
• Provide technical leadership for L2/L3 production support and drive timely resolution of critical production incidents.
• Monitor application and infrastructure health using Splunk, proactively identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving operational issues.
• Lead incident management activities, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement preventive actions to improve system reliability.
• Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and database issues across distributed systems and production environments.
• Analyze and optimize SQL queries while supporting database troubleshooting, performance tuning, and data analysis.
• Utilize Linux environments for system administration, troubleshooting, log analysis, and operational support.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and support teams to ensure smooth application deployments and operational readiness.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, monitoring dashboards, and standard operating procedures.
• Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and promote SRE best practices across the team.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing timely updates during incidents and supporting operational governance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Production Support, or Application Support.
• Proven experience with Splunk, Grafana, log analysis, alerting, dashboard creation, production troubleshooting, prometheous.
• Strong expertise in Incident Management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Hands-on experience in SQL, query optimization, database troubleshooting, performance tuning, and data analysis.
• Hands-on experience in Linux, troubleshooting and scripting.
• Hands-on experience in Kubernetes, docker etc.
• Experience in Jira
• Experience in shell scripting
• Good understanding of Java application troubleshooting and distributed systems.
• Experience supporting L2/L3 production environments with a strong focus on operational excellence and system reliability.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, change management, and incident management best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to mentor team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Certification in Oracle is preferred.
