Solution Architect - (Public Sector) - Part-Time

Overview

At Xtremax, we help government agencies and enterprises build robust, scalable, and future-ready digital systems. As a Solution Architect, you will play a key role in defining the end-to-end architecture, translating business requirements into technical designs, and ensuring solutions align with the Customer’s enterprise architecture. This role combines technical leadership, system design, and stakeholder collaboration to deliver impactful digital solutions. Candidates with public sector experience are preferred, as this role supports IT projects for government agencies.

Responsibility:

• Define and establish the target microservices architecture for .NET applications, aligned with NP enterprise architecture, cloud, and IM8 security requirements
• Lead the architecture design for one pilot .NET application to validate and refine the microservices approach
• Evaluate and recommend suitable technology stack, frameworks, and integration approach
• Evaluate and define delivery approach, including GovTech platforms or independent deployment
• Design service decomposition, domain boundaries, and communication patterns for scalable and modular systems
• Establish reference architecture, design standards, and reusable patterns to support consistent adoption across subsequent .NET applications
• Provide architectural guidance and development support for new applications requested by schools and departments
• Lead hands-on application development for the pilot system, focusing on core and complex components, establishing coding patterns and best practices
• Conduct code reviews, design walkthroughs, and troubleshooting to ensure quality and alignment with architecture
• Perform hands-on application development for selected applications
• Define and implement best practices for secure coding, testing strategy, and CI/CD practices across the development lifecycle
• Support modernization of other .NET applications by providing technical guidance to NP development teams

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
• Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect or equivalent cloud certifications
• At least 7 years experience as a Software Architect and 4 years in leading architecture design for modern applications
• Track record of delivering microservices-based or modernized applications in production
• Strong expertise in microservices architecture, .NET 8/10, C#, frontend and backend technologies, Azure cloud-native design, authentication, authorization, secure application design, DevOps practices, and IM8
• Ability to code and deliver production-grade applications and enforce coding standards through reviews and refactoring
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
