 Test Automation Engineer (Tosca Specialist)

Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer with deep Tosca expertise to design, develop and maintain enterprise-scale automated test suites. The role focuses on Tosca-based UI and API automation, regression execution, automation enablement and integration ofAI-assisted testing or productivity tools. The ideal candidate is highly experienced with Tosca at scale and adaptable across additional automation frameworks (Playwright, JavaScript, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design, development and maintenance of Tosca automation tests for UI and API layers; implement robust modular test cases, reusable modules and business component libraries.
• Build, run and maintain enterprise-scale automated regression suites in Tosca and ensure reliable execution across environments.
• Review and optimize the existing Tosca automation landscape (tests, modules, coverage) and recommend improvements to increase stability and coverage.
• Integrate Tosca test suites into CI/CD pipelines and automation execution pipelines; support scheduling, reporting and orchestration.
• Analyze functional and non-functional requirements to identify Tosca automation candidates, test scenarios and required test data.
• Create, source and manage test data and test case parameterization within Tosca by coordinating with product, engineering and business stakeholders.
• Execute Tosca automated test scripts, validate results, and log, track and verify defect fixes; maintain test artifacts and reporting.
• Support evaluation, development or integration of AI-assisted testing or productivity tools that complement Tosca capabilities.
• Operate effectively where tool selection varies by system; recommend when Tosca should be the primary automation approach versus alternate tools.
• Mentor team members on Tosca best practices, modular design, and reusable accelerators; contribute to knowledge sharing and capability uplift.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 5+ years’ experience in test automation supporting enterprise-scale or complex systems, with significant hands-on Tosca experience (recommended 3+ years focused on Tosca).
• Proven track record building, maintaining and executing large Tosca automated regression suites and integrating them with CI/CD.
• Strong skills in Tosca TestCase Design, Tosca Commander, Tosca ExecutionLists, Business Components and Test Data Management.
• Proficiency with other automation tools/frameworks (Playwright, JavaScript, Selenium, REST API automation) and scripting (JavaScript, Python, Java) is a plus.
• Experience with test management tools, version control (Git), and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Solid understanding of SDLC, QA processes, defect lifecycle and test strategy.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-collaboration skills.

• Tosca certification(s) or formal training.
• Experience creating or leveraging Tosca accelerators, reusable business component libraries and enterprise-level test frameworks.
• Experience with AI-assisted test generation, test optimization techniques or productivity tooling.
• Track record of recommending and implementing enterprise best practices for test automation and driving process improvements.
• Experience with performance, security or accessibility automation.
