Test Engineer (Automation) - Part-Time

Job Scope Overview:

We are seeking for a Test Engineer who specializes in providingSQA (software quality assurance) services in the BFSI (banking,finance, securities and insurance) domain to join our team. The role requires softwaretesting practice foundation, particularly supporting the implementationand maintenance of automated framework for end-to-end functional regressiontesting cycles, and execution of testing.

Key Responsibilities:

Primarily responsible for designing, implementingand maintaining the full-stack automated frameworks in support offunctional regression testing, using script or model-basedapproaches with a high degree of reusability, leveraging on enterpriseor open-source tool-suites, APIs (application programming interfaces),SDKs (software development kits), function libraries (DLLs) and any associatedutilities.  Secondarily responsible forsupporting execution of respective functional or non-functional test types,including load and performance testing, failover and recovery testing, etc., ofvarying scope, scale, complexity and duration.

• Work with client-sidestakeholders including Developers and Business Analysts to clarify and establishexpected application workflows and associated behaviours, technical dependenciesand configurations, to facilitate test automation.
• Work with test designteam to obtain domain knowledge transfer, and test cases selection to establishthe baseline automated functional regression test suite to provision the requiredtest coverage and productivity, and also support automating the test datapreparation.
• Assist test teamleader on effort estimation required for test automation related activitiesin addition to assigned scope, by providing relevant and accurate input insupport of service delivery.
• Participate in the on-going effortof implementing best practices and innovation initiatives for the TestingCentre-of-Excellence (TCoE).

Experience, Qualifications and Requirements:

• At least five years of work experience in providing SQA in the BFSI industry, holding respectivetest automation roles in support of functional regression and non-functionalrelated testing, with minimally three years in automated test frameworkdesign, implementation and maintenance.
• Possess a Bachelor'sDegree with major in Computer Science or equivalent field, and preferablycertified in software test automation or automation tools, and familiar withSDLC (software development lifecycle), including Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps.
• Related certifications:test automation – CT-TAE, ASTQB, CSTAS/E, CSTE; automation tools – UFTD, LRD,Tricentis NeoLoad, Triscentis Tosca AS1/AS2/AE/TDS, etc. Versed in VBScript,JavaScript, Python, YAML/JSON, and SQL, and preferably Selenium, Junit andJmeter.
• Passionate intechnologies, receptive and keenness in learning, meticulous, analyticaland competent in problem-solving, with good interpersonal communicationand presentation skills.
• Fluent in Englishlanguage, including for both written and verbal communications. Possess clearthought process and able to articulate clearly.
