Trainee Software Engineer - Part-Time

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Trainee SoftwareEngineer who has foundational knowledge of the MERN stack, Python and a strongpassion for learning. This role is ideal for Intern, fresh graduates who wantto build modern web applications while gaining exposure to media technology,broadcast systems, video streaming, and networking.

You will work closely with experienced engineers onreal-world projects involving AI-enabled media workflows, cloud applications,streaming technologies, and enterprise software.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using the MERN stack, Python, Java.
• Build responsive user interfaces using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js and Express.

• Exposure to TypeScript, Next.js, Redux or Zustand, Docker, Linux, CI/CD pipelines, WebSockets, FFmpeg or multimedia processing and Networking concepts (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, DNS) is highly desirable.

• Design and manage databases.
• Debug, test, and optimize application performance.
• Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Learn and contribute to projects involving:
• Media and broadcast workflows
• Video streaming technologies (SRT, OTT, IPTV)
• Network fundamentals and system integration
• AI-assisted media processing and automation
• Prepare technical documentation and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.

• Good understanding of object-oriented programming and software development principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn.

Exposure to any of the following will be an advantage:

• TypeScript, Next.js,Redux or Zustand, Docker, Linux, CI/CD pipelines, WebSockets, FFmpeg or multimedia processing.
• Networking concepts (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, DNS)
