Senior Mechanical Assembler

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Assembler to join our team! This candidate will be trained to mechanically assemble products for COTS, military and aerospace applications. You will ensure the quality of the product being assembled and the reliability of final product.

Essential Job Functions:

• Rotate through multiple stations on a shift to ensure maximum alertness and preparation.
• Proficient with blueprints and verify the parts required prior to assembly.
• Double-check connections, glue and conformal coating, any special processes required to ensure quality and record any discrepancies.
• Inform supervisors of any discrepancies or part and equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem.
• Demonstrate proficiency utilizing various tools, instrumentation and calibration equipment.
• Communicate with other stations on the assembly line to ensure maximum speed and accuracy of product movement.
• Maintain and service all equipment when necessary.
• Conserve resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste.
• Assemble components accurately, thoroughly and quickly to approved specifications.
• Maintain awareness of ESD and FOD requirements for assembly.
• Cross train with other stations and increase movement of final product.
• Coordinate with supervisors to ensure on-time delivery to the customer.
• Implement ideas and provide feedback to help maintain quality and rapid movement of product.
• Monitor for kit shortages and make the supervisor aware of deficiencies that could affect product delivery.
• Demonstrate proficiency with product and mechanical requirements of product.

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in general mechanical assembly work or specialized training.
• Basic working knowledge of electricity.
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Preferred:

• Ability to commit to a flexible schedule and prompt arrival for shifts.
• Experience with power and hand tools a plus.
• Basic computer and arithmetic skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
