Your client is a New York business that provides steam and pressure control valves in industrial, commercial, and residential settings. After being in business for nearly 70 years, they apply their experience and knowhow in providing customers with the parts and expert advice they need.
What You Will Do:
- Speaking with vendors to obtain pricing and lead time for equipment.
- Managing the inventory of the company by inputting inventory into Quickbooks and confirming inventory is correct.
- Update customers on the status of orders.
- Provide back-up to the executive assistant for invoicing.
- Proactively follow up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Expense reporting.
- Some light quoting of routine services or equipment once pricing is obtained.
- Maintenance of CRM system.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in operations management, bookkeeping and general accounting.
- At least 1 year working with Quickbooks, preferably Quickbooks desktop rather than Quickbooks online.
- Strong desire to continuously learn and challenge yourself.
- Self-starter who is a problem-solver and likes to continuously improve.
- Experience in managing process flows within a company.
- Detail-oriented and with an “I’ll find a way” attitude.
- Experience working with a CRM system.
- Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
- Personable and customer-centric attitude.
- Team player.
- Fluent in English.
