About COMPASS:

COMPASS is a non-profit collective management organisation which administers the rights of public performance, broadcast, diffusion and reproduction in “music and musical associated literary works” on behalf of its members. Under reciprocal agreements with affiliated societies in other countries, COMPAS represents owners of musical works comprised in both international and local repertoires.

Our Vision is: “A trusted intermediary, for music copyright holders and users alike, that aims to uplift conditions for creativity and continuous growth of the music industry.”

Our Mission is:

a) To provide equitable remuneration for local and foreign songwriters, and music publishers for the use of their copyrighted works;

b) To provide music users quick and easy licensing solutions and legal access to the world repertoire without fear of infringement;

c) To distribute licensing income accurately, efficiently and transparently to members and affiliated societies;

d) To support, protect and propel the music industry forward with new talents and new music;

e) To fulfil the social and cultural role for our member
