Established in 1987, the Composers and Authors Society of Singapore (COMPASS) represents composers, authors and music publishers. As a collective management organisation, COMPASS administers music copyright licences in Singapore as part of an international network that safeguards and supports the rights of music creators.

Job Description

Reporting to the Licensing Manager, the Licensing Executive is part of the frontline music licensing team with the objective of securing timely licence issuance and compliance.

The role involves responding to licensing-related queries, processing applications, following up on outstanding matters, and assisting with compliance-related follow-up. Occasional on-site visits may be required.

Main Responsibilities

1. Achieve licensing targets set by management.
2. Manage a portfolio of current and new music users, including applications, renewals and follow-ups.
3. Respond to queries on music licensing and copyright via phone, email and walk-in.
4. Process licence applications, calculate licence fees, and follow up on payments.
5. Conduct on-site visits and prepare basic reports where required.
6. Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Key Requirements

1. Diploma holder. Degree holders may apply and candidates with relevant experience may be considered for a higher appointment.
2. Good command of spoken and written English.
3. Able to handle cases and difficult situations calmly and tactfully, and follow through on time.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Good to Have

1. Prior experience in customer-facing roles.
2. Proficiency in additional languages or dialects.
