The company was formally known as “Acoustics Research Lab Pte Ltd” focused on Acoustics Consultancy, led by Dr. Lee Siew Eang whom  practiced more than 30 years of acoustics consultancy experience and  retired as an Associate Professor with National University of Singapore  in the School of Design and Environment in June 2019. The company has  been engaged in the study of noise problems, the planning, design and  implementation of development projects relating to noise control and  aural comfort performance since 1985. The company was later renamed to SEAL Consultants Pte Ltd to signify the company’s new core business.

SEAL is literally derived from its core business: Sustainability, Environment, Acoustics, Laboratory.

SEAL’s core business focus on two aspects: Environmental Sustainability and Acoustics Consultancy:

1. Sustainability consultancy mainly focuses on BCA Green Mark and total building performance  consultancy – this is where we would deploy performance simulations to  predict outcomes for sunpath, radiation, radiance, daylight and glare,  airflow and thermal comfort and energy savings to support informed  decision-making and BCA Green Mark certification works.


2. Acoustic consultancy spanning from traffic noise impact, boundary noise limits, internal and  external acoustics, audio and visual noise control – in this arena, we  carry out site measurements pre and post-implementations and also for  construction noise, analyse the results and provide advice for design  directives and preventive measures, submissions to NEA for noise  limits. SEAL Consultants Pte Ltd is NEA Registered Noise Consultant.

SEAL  has undertaken numerous projects of various scale, types, and offering  holistic solutions and innovation to our clients. Types of projects  includes but not limited to residential, commercial, office, industrial,  infrastructure, healthcare, educational institutions, Data Centre,  special use institution, and others.
