ESD Project Engineer

Your work nature:

You will be assigned to work on environmental sustainability and acoustics consultancy. The nature of work will involve documentation works, design, construction and post-construction coordination works, attend to project meetings and presentations, construction site visits and field measurements.

Key Responsibilities:

Project manage green mark and acoustics projects independently with minimal supervision if you are applying for senior position, your responsibilities may include the following:

• Develop customized sustainability strategies for new and existing development projects and organisations.
• Chair and attend meetings, workshops and presentations with various stakeholders such as multi-disciplinary design teams, contractors, operation, and facilities management teams, etc.
• Conduct data analysis, evaluate and propose recommendations and solutions, prepare technical reports, presentations and documentation for various stakeholders of the project.
• Conduct computer simulations, such as ACMV system, lighting, landscape, ETTV/RETV, energy simulation, wind and rain simulation, daylight and glare simulation, solar shading and radiation simulation, carbon emission, life cycle cost, etc.
• Conduct acoustics performance measurements, computations and report generation.
• Source for innovative materials, products, evaluate technical specification and cost for recommendation to client.
• Formulate and update tender specifications according to project tender requirements with respect to targeted acoustics sustainability performances.
• Prepare and review technical calculations, product, equipment, specifications and drawings such as ACMV system, lighting system, civil and structural, landscape and architectural details, received from multidisciplinary consultants, building owners, contractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate project with multidisciplinary consultants, building owners, contractors, suppliers, and authorities to ensure timely delivery of project schedules.
• Conduct construction site inspections and detail measurement of the building related to ACMV, lighting, indoor comfort, etc, to analyse building system performance and propose improvement.
• Significant experience with Energy Modelling would be considered favourably.

Our Working hours:

Officially, our office working hours is from Mondays to Fridays, from 8.30am to 5.30pm.

In the light of the changing working arrangement post-pandemic, we do practice hybrid work arrangements, subject to work demand. In another words, we are very work-task performance orientated and hence practice working from home and/or office to do our part in reducing carbon footprint. In any case, our office is located centrally in Toa Payoh which is conveniently located within 500m from Braddell MRT station.

Your Technical Qualifications:

• Degree/Diploma in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Intelligent Building, Building Engineering, Building Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Performance, Sustainability or Acoustics and Vibration Control.
• Green Mark professional accreditation, any other sustainability related accreditation will be required for senior position.
• At least 2 years of working in construction industry with basic understanding of building systems such as architectural elements, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Candidates with more experience may be considered for senior post.
• Proficient in English speaking, writing and presentation

Possessing the following technical know-how will be added advantage:

• Knowledge of ACMV systems
• Able to operate ACAD software such as Revit, AutoCAD
• Able to operate environmental simulation softwares such as IESVE, Rhino, E20, Open studio, and other plug-ins softwares
• Experience with Building Physics and Performance analytical tools, e.g. Energy Modelling, CFD Modelling and Daylight Modelling, etc.
• Relevant Industry Accreditations in Sustainability
