As we view our oceans and the many ships that ply their trade and the support vessels that support so many facets to the marine industry, it is comforting to know that 90% of the world ocean going fleet arranges Protection & Indemnity insurance (P&I) with a Mutual Club.  Only 13 P&I Clubs make up the International Group of P&I Clubs that provide such mutual liability insurance to ship owners worldwide.

At the Shipowners’ Club we are proud to be one of the 13 and the second oldest. Established in 1855 we have over 160 years of experience offering the highest levels of liability insurance to the owners of smaller and more specialised vessels and to the many brokers who transact their business with us.

Insuring over 32,000 commercially operated ships we need a dedicated, focused, enthusiastic team of people to drive our brand and maintain our high service standards. To constantly achieve this is something that we are all very proud of at the Club. We are also proud of making Shipowners’ a great place to work and as a family ensuring we have fun in all that we do.
