Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (RoW)

Responsibilities:

• Manage and review supplier PPAP and first article inspection (FAI), and closely monitor supplier product quality from pilot run to mass production.
• Align quality acceptance criteria and methodologies with supplier / CM. Documented and ensure product inspection / validation / testing is properly implemented.
• Involving in the supplier evaluation and selection, systems audits and improvement activities.
• Manage supplier quality and driving supplier quality improvement activities.
• Plan source inspection at supplier site for supplier quality assurance.
• Actively participating and monitoring supplier/CM quality performance on site. Interaction / bridging between supplier and internal stack holder solving the quality issues.
• Driving supplier quality issue resolution. And review Supplier Correction Action Report (SCAR/8D)
• On-site supplier audit to ensure the supplier quality control is maintained in shape.
• Report Supplier/CM quality performance weekly to the management.
• Implement and carry-out improvement opportunities to identify profits and increase productivity
• Travelling is a must for this role. SQE RoW will be assigned to manage of the supplier globally (Singapore and out of Singapore)

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in electrical / mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• At least 8 years of working experience in EMS/OEM with related technical experience in machining fabrication, system assembly and semiconductor manufacturing is desirable.
• Preferably trained and have good knowledge in Quality control tools (PFMEA/SPC/MSA and etc)
• Well verse of 8D principles and application in driving issue resolution.
• Measurement instrument (familiar with CMM operation and program, Profile Projector, Scope, Micrometer and etc.) is a plus.
• Strong project management skills and ability to work well independently and collaboratively.
• Must be bilingual English and Chinese.
• Travel to supplier plant frequently
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
• Possess good and effective communication skill with all levels within the organization, suppliers and customers
• Ability to provide leadership, direction, identify and resolve issues with other departments group effectively
• Able to work long hours and under high-pressure in fast paced environment
