Assistant Vice President, Capital Markets (IB)

Job Scope / Description:

1. Lead or assist senior bankers in the deal origination, structuring, syndication, and execution processes for debt and debt-related transactions
2. Facilitate the relationship between issuers and rating agencies in order to obtain the best possible ratings on behalf of the issuers
3. Prepare and update marketing materials to clients, i.e. presentation / pitchbooks, market updates, etc.
4. Work with other departments like Legal, Compliance, etc. on relevant deal-related matters
5. Assist with KYC / onboarding and accounting opening processes for issuer clients

Requirements:

1. Minimally a bachelor’s degree, preferably in economics, business, finance, or related disciplines
2. At least 5 years work experience with proven track record within debt capital markets or related fixed income / corporate finance disciplines required
3. Knowledge of Bloomberg and Dealogic are required
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent analytical skills (numeracy included)
5. Good knowledge and interest in current financial markets developments, particularly fixed income and credit
6. Ability to perform effectively in a team environment, with the willingness to step up and take on additional responsibilities
7. Demonstrate key personal traits like resilience, a high level of drive and motivation, willingness to learn; all of which will be key to achieving success in this role
8. Good command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) applications
