Job Description


Reporting to the Area Business Manager, the Club General Manager will have an overall responsibility to maximize club’s EBITDA performance through strategy execution, performance management and the growth and development of direct reports, all in line with the company business objectives.

As the Club General Manager, you will have an expert understanding of gym club management, key roles at the club level (Head of Department / HOD), Fitness First operational disciplines and executing the business strategy and brand standard. You will also have experience in P&L management as well as a proven track record of people development and performance management.

You will grow membership, revenue and profitability of the business whilst delivering an exceptional member experience and be passionate about working in an environment that constantly strives to improve peoples’ lives.

  • RESPONSIBILITIES: Proactively attract, recruit and retain talent in your club through using proven people management experienceCoach and mentor employees to enable them to reach their potential and deliver resultsDrive an outstanding member and guest experience in club, focusing on member interactionsImplement business plans to achieve total revenue targets and maximize controllable profits in the clubAchieve the budgeted Net Member Movement monthly and yearly in line with budgetsTo ensure brand standards are delivered and club maintenance is managed by utilizing maintenance systemsTo engage local community and organizations in fitness, health and wellbeing eventsManaging club training and developmentCoach and manage staff performanceTo perform administration and management functions in line with daily, weekly and monthly deadline

  • REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in supervising and evaluating a team with a demonstrated record of achieving revenue based KPI’sLeadership and communication skills at all levels of businessAbility to interpret club financial statements and assist business developmentSelf-motivated, flexible and adaptable to changes due to the nature of businessTeam player with a positive attitudeAnalysis and decision-making skillsBusiness development and club marketing skillsLeadership experience within a commercial environmentProven ability to thrive under pressureThe ability to energize, influence, support and inspireAble to speak in mandarin is an added advantage
