Research and Innovation Manager

To be successful in this role you will have:

The drive to work proactively and creatively to develop and progress NMIT's Research and Innovation strategy among its research staff, as well as its strategic focus areas.

The knowledge and experience to support NMIT's researchers and NMIT's Research Team in a changing tertiary education environment, and in alignment with the Government's direction.

Experience in doing research, publishing research, budget management and income-generating activities.

A drive to grow NMIT's research, applied research, staff and student research and innovation that contributes to our region.

The management and leadership skills to build research collaboration partnerships, within and without NMIT, that are sustainable and productive.

A commitment to ensure Māori research is supported effectively, and ensure that NMIT research is culturally appropriate.
